Why Is Enchanted River Closed at 12 Noon?

 


Many tourists were captivated with the tourist spots here in the Philippines as it is rich in bodies of water. One of the enthralling water forms is the 290 meters Enchanted River in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. 

The Enchanted River was named as it is for its astounding shade. An iota part of the Enchanted River is clear crystal blue in which appears as it is almost transparent. 


Because of the enchantress that it brings, it is not impossible for the people to come and visit. Yearly, thousands of travelers all over the world are exploring the Enchanted River. Because of this, the government had to set rules and regulations to safeguard the Enchanted River.

The local government prohibits everybody from swimming in the main river, however, if the visitors wish to plunge, there is an allocated area for them. Also, the fish-feeding schedule was set from twelve noon until three in the afternoon.


The scenic spot was closed last January 2017 and was opened again after a month. According to the LGU, an amount of time was needed to look after the river.

If you have a penchant for the said tourist attraction and plans to see it for yourself, you must abide by the rules and regulations, and health protocols. As you reach Hinatuan, you have to trek for a half kilometer before you set your foot on the Enchanted River.
